Great video and glad to see someone show how people are breaking shafts on these😂👍They think the shaft comes out like a normal one without seeing the step down 👍❤️Dont heat sleeve unless issue,not suppose to spin with the shaft 👍

I am new to the fast electric rc hobby, but had plenty of experience with big rc heli's and planes etc. I recently bought a SR80 PR0 and the Sonicwake V2, the initial inspection of the cabledrive showed that Proboat had greased the cable with a light grease similar in thickness to what you have used, however the kit supplied blue marine grease was extremely thick, I did not use it, due to concerns of the thickness on the power system. I have been using Amsoil assembly lube, it's not as thick as grease but clings to the surfaces really well, it's designed to protect an engine after a rebuild on initial start up. I have found it works for me so far on both boats, but I do re lube the cables after every hours use. The Blackjack 42 looks like being my next purchase ,thanks for your tips and advice.🚤👍

I usually spray wd40 into the tube as well, that thins it out nicely, but assy lube is a great idea which i wouldnt mind trying myself

Nice well explained video, the Geiko 36 melted it's liner . Noticed it was kinked from the factory. I grease it every time just in case now but the other boats not so much. This really looks like a good boat .

Thanks for doing this mate 👍👍👍

Oh no problem. Some people are also doing it by removing the bearing with heat and pulling it out that way, that seems to work fine also just not my preference

Where did you run your second cooling tube to coming from the turn fin?
@fhrase1687Ай бұрын
Usually with these, you run one tube directly to the motor, then out the motor, straight to a water outlet. And then the same with the ESC, rudder to ESC to water outlet. The ESC and motor both get cooled separately and more efficiently!

Shouldn't you grease in the strut also. It does spin in there. One person tapped it out of the strut and lubricated it . Horizon hobby has a video where they dropped like you did but went I step further and took the prop and drive dog out and slid it out of the strut to grease that as well. Your demonstration does not grease the bushing in the strut witch is just as important to grease the shaft that is in the bushing. The shaft does spin in that bushing that is in the strut. Just as important also. Wear that portion out and does not matter what you do with the rest of the shaft.worn is worn. Time to spend another $40+ for a new one. have utube videos that will explain in detail unlike yours witch is done kinda of fast.

Do that too

How do you take the strut off ?
@RCBoatBitz2 жыл бұрын
Take the bolt out that holds it in

@@RCBoatBitz took the prop off and every bolt that was on there and it still didnt come off lol. I dont know what way it comes off either so i didnt wanna tap it with anything either
@topgun53992 жыл бұрын
@@RCBoatBitz what bolt you talking about. Horizon takes 3 bolts out plastic shear bolt and prop then drivedog and the prop shaft comes out. Oh well it's all on how you want it done. Happy holidays.
