Thanks for this very helpful video. I just changed my passenger mirror on my 2008 318d and even managed to replace the new unpainted plastic shell with the original painted one so the car looks as good as new!

Why did you take the whole door card off when you could have just popped off the top speaker cover?

U dont have to remove door panel in the e93 guys just need to remove a speaker next to the mirorr

How about mirror camera and cable replacement (If you have a car with top cam view) it would be awesome to see that. I have an issue with my f10 535i (top view malfunction and left cam does not work when its cold outside). Thanks boys :)

Question: just changed the side mirror on my 2008 BMW 328i. Everything is put back together, wires included but the driver side control panel does not work now. Can't roll down windows or adjust mirrors. Any suggestions???

Yes, I was able to fix the problem by ordering the "Right" side mirror for my car. The side mirror I ordered had a 6 prong wire connection & I needed a 3 prong connection. Everything works properly now. Hope this helps.

I just did a vynal wrap on my bmw 328i coupe and I can’t get the seal that goes in between the window, speaker and mirror to go back in to place

*Don't do like that if you have an E93 !* You don't need to remove the door panel !!! 😱 My two mirrors were stolen by young Arabs I had to replace thel and lost a lot of time because of that mistake... 😕

I don't think so because the door pillar panel has a large plastic protrusion that goes under the door panel and, even if you were able to get it out, reinstalling it would be a huge headache.

on my 325ci coupe, yes. i had some jackass break my right mirror off in a parking lot, all i had to do was pull the black trim piece off and undo two bolts. the wire is on a little extention pigtail that comes out from inside the door and can easily be unplugged. no need to take the whole panel off. your mileage may vary.
