Dosen't work well with truck springs bends pretty easy just bent it trying to install new shocks on dodge ram.

this tool creates dents and scratches the coil. It is very hard to be used to install a new spring. Look at the end between the spring and the tool.

Used this to change struts on my car and 1- the tool does not grip the springs and scratches them and 2- does not compress evenly leaving the spring at an angle. Would recommend another method.

The 4,000 lb rating on this tool is a joke. Using it to compress truck springs rated at 550lb/in for a distance of three inches bent this tool like it was made out of pot metal. It's probably fine for passenger car springs, but for springs off a full size light duty truck or SUV, it's 30 pounds of junk.

I can attest that it is not fine for passenger car springs
