Funny story? I threw my driver's license on the sliding cover of the nook where the AUX USB ports live, while hastily rolling up my sleeve for the second vaccine. Moments later, where did my license go? My daughter and I looked everywhere - no luck. Uh-oh. The only place it could've gone...? Using your video, I was able to remove the console and, sure enough, there it was in my Hyundai's dashboard innards! Thank you, Mr talented Reid!

Thank you for this informative video. Before I saw your video, I panicked and tried fishing out the sliding tray to access the space behind. I ended up breaking the spring mechanism of pushing the tray in and out, now it is opened all the time and when I push, it opens up immediately, do you know if this is a common issue and I can fix it by my self? You have to get a USB converter from USB to hdmi

Thanks for the video. I did this on my 13 elantra but the new aux isn't recognized. I got another one and same thing. It's the exact same model as original. Is there something I have to do to get the car to recognize it? I tried undoing the battery terminal. When I put the old one back in, it is immediately recognized and I can select "aux"

You might have to use a computer to program it or get a use one that already program

I'm having trouble replacing my port on a 2013 hyundai elantra, it is a little different than yours and the plastic pieces around the shift knob are not coming off as easily as yours so I'm afraid of breaking anything. Any tips?

Thanks for stopping by. It is more easier to pull from the front they are just clips so you have to just pull up a little on it equally

It was a little different instead of removing the plastic that directly surrounds the shifter, you have to first remove the grey plastic trimming that goes around the plastic of the shifter and up towards the stereo. So it was a little bit different than yours, none the less got it done, thank you!

I downloaded the software in a usb memory, but I couldn't update the system coz the internal memory is not enough... the SW is 20GB and the internal memory is only 3500 Mb... I've seen that other elentra 2015 and 2016 have the sd location by removing a bottom... in a elentra 2017 idk w is the sd location!
