Actually yes. Those will be uploaded before too long. Be sure to subscribe and you will receive automatic notifications each time we upload a new video!

Great, now just fine me a unit without fragile "soft-touch" paint. Ha. (BTW, this car you work on seems immaculate. I'm consistently amazed by the great condition everything is in.)
@TotalTechnik4 жыл бұрын
Yep, the soft-touch paint is bad. Not as bad as the rubberised paint found in early Touareg's and the like, but bad enough! Yes, this car is not too bad. We get to see all types of condition! You can repaint it yourself! There's a variety of suitable black matte canned paints, both regular and soft-touch. Check the Audi forums for details. And you can restore the buttons using $10 painting masks made for these cars specifically that you can just buy.

Hi I bought recently an Audi A6 c5 Tdi, but there's no power coming to the climate control, I changed the fuse & still nothing. Would you have any idea why is that ? Would it be the actual climate control gone ?
@robknibb6 жыл бұрын
Hey, have a problem with my ESP traction light being permanently on and it looks like replacing the ESP sensor is the fix, can you tell me if this is located underneath the climate control unit you have removed? I cant seem to find any other info on its location other than one person saying its here, and another saying its under the drivers seat! Any help appreciated, its an A4 3.0TDI Quattro 2004 B7 estate. Thank you and thanks for the videos, been a great help to me!
@TotalTechnik6 жыл бұрын
Hey there! Yes, it is under the climate unit attached to the chassis of the car. Definitely not under the seat :-) Hope that helps. Hello,i have a problem to put back ashtray in audi a4 b6 can you explain with a video or just explain to me how to put it back.Thanks a lot love your videos.
@TotalTechnik7 жыл бұрын
Thank you, much appreciated! It should just go straight back in the way it came out. If you got it out ok, it should go back in just as easily. Is it the same ashtray be refitted, or are you replacing it with a new unit? For some reason my front seat warmers went out (B7 S4). I checked the fuses, theyre still intact! What do you suggest for troubleshooting this issue? They were working fine, and then just stopped... Although, i do remember that sometimes they would take a long time to warm up, and often times the would fire right up no problem.
@TotalTechnik6 жыл бұрын
Hey there! That's odd!! Well, if it affects both at the same time then the heating elements will be fine. If the fuses are good then maybe the climate control main panel itself, especially as you noted it kind of worked before. But weird it affects both evenly as each has it's own control for heat on the main panel. Hmm. Let me ponder! If you solve it in the meantime, be sure to post back the result! --- To help support us (for both you and others reading this) there are a few things you can do: 1) Please ensure you subscribe to our KZbin channel. 2) Please give our video's the Thumbs Up on KZbin. 3) Please help spread the word, the more people who know about us the better! Got a A4 8E 2007, problems with heating/climate. Now always cold feet. What is the best acces to check, via glove box?. Behind radio? Best regards, A.
@TotalTechnik8 жыл бұрын
Hey there... Yes, most of the climate motors can be accessed by dropping the glovebox, like so: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a3jSfHaEl9CnnpI You will see once removed there are motors coloured coded red, green, blue and a circular black one as well. There is also a yellow one in the same location on the drivers side, just drop the lower dash panel like so: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mWa1pnaYaql2kKs Once you have access, the best way to test is to turn up your heat, see which motor moves, turns it down, check it movves, change airflow direction, see what moves. You'll then see for yourself what controls what, and you will find that you are unable to get one of the motors to move - that will be your issue. Best of luck!
@AE-km7mc8 жыл бұрын
Hey there, what a success! I did as recommended and found three motors and mechanics. Only the upper one worked defenitely. I disassembled the other motors and found it working (12 V battery). In addition I moved this potentiometer like looking thing about ten times from left to right, then reassembling. As soon as I switched on ignition, I saw all of them working. I think it´s fixed now. Thank you very very much, best regards, Andreas

Is possible move lower the climate panel? I have not enough space to insert the car radio Tablet :( My Audi A4 2004 original car radio is 1DIN.
@TotalTechnik8 жыл бұрын
You cannot install double din into a single din hole. You need to upgrade the stereo cage to double din to do that (and maybe also your centre console as well). If you change to double din you will need a new heater panel also, and a new front ashtray (double din version). Good luck!
I had a piece of an eating slide beneath the climate control panel (on top of ash tray underneath climate control panel). I want to retrieve the piece but I'm worried about taking out the climate control panel and nav screen above it. What's the easiest way to get to it? Could I just remove the ashtray? Please help asap!
@TotalTechnik7 жыл бұрын
Hey there! You cannot just remove the ash tray unfortunately. You'll have to remove the nav and heater panel - we have produced video's on all of these to help you, and it's not hard and won't take long. Best of luck! What does it look like under the climate control unit on the 2006 A4? Is it a big dark pit or is there a surface that the earing could of fell onto? I'm trying to decide if it's worth taking everything out as it's not that valuable. The piece slide between the woodgrain ashtray cover and the bottom of the climate control unit, in your opinion would I be able to recover it easily?
@TotalTechnik7 жыл бұрын
Under the climate control panel is the edge of the ashtray, and below that it's pretty much a small void area. It should be easy to find in that area, provided it has not slipper down either side of the centre console (inside).

I have 2003 audi a4 Quattro b6 and my a/c stop working and i change the compressor and condenser and the dryer and is not working the is a relay somewhere the i don't know about
@TotalTechnik7 жыл бұрын
Yes, there should be. From memory I think it's relay 267. But do research on that as that could be wrong as I'm just going from memory. The high pressure switch can also stop the air con working if faulty.

Hello. Can you make a video or tell me please, how to move climate control buttons down? Mine are up and there is a space under them and i can't put navigation system. I have space only for cd player. Thank you in advance.
@TotalTechnik3 жыл бұрын
You may need to swap the centre console for a double din version, and you may even need a different climate unit as well by the sound of it. You can adapt the single din centre console to be double din, and you should be able to find a guide on one of the forums covering that if required. Does anyone know where to start if the actual leds on these dont go on and off when pressed. I have no way to tell if the ac button us pressed, as an example.
@TotalTechnik7 жыл бұрын
That could be a tricky repair, and it may be best to get a used unit from eBay to replace the existing one. Might save a lot of headaches :-( I assume some LED's work and others do not? Sounds like the circuit is on it's way out, or just an LED failure on on of the circuits. It could be quite complex to try and repair, hence a used unit might be a cheap and easy fix :-) Please be sure to support us - please subscribe to our KZbin channel and help spread the word!
@LaughingSeraphim7 жыл бұрын
It's actually 100% of the LEDs, and only the LEDs. Iwill still hunt for another unit I think. The amount of work to get it out is bad enough. Thanks.
