Damn. 3 months ago my heater box is replaced because the heat valve of the climatetronic broke down. Seen this it looks like a big operation. They have it done with new liquids, replacing and a new timing belt with wather pomp in 8 hours😱 Thanks for letting me showing this!

Its not too bad to do, putting it back together I'd say is the biggest task and making sure that it all looks like its from the factory. But yeah they sound like heroes for completing it in 8 hours! Nice

Thanks so much. This is very useful information. Steering wheel nut - I would use a black marker to indicate the alignment. As you said there are markers. But it’s easier when you make them obvious.

You can touch the positive cable onto something metal to discharge anything once the cable is removed.

What is that small circular grill just above the gear knob? I want to mount a microphone and this looks idea as long as there is nothing in the way, or it is vital for some other purpose.

That grill, I think, is for the climate control. Not sure about pandas without cc though

Is this enough to get the heater out of the car? I ask because a pro told me the structural frame also has to come out. That means taking off the doors.

I think there are more things to remove to get it out. I'll Check it out when I'm in the car next

You would definitely have to remove the bracing which looks like a massive job alright. Looks like to remove the bracing, the doors do have to come off because here are 2 massive bolts on both sides of the car that don't have the clearance to come out easily. All I can say about that job is woof!

Ive just watched video and wondered if there is access to the heater blower resistor which is at the front top of the heater box spent half a day trying to replace it via the pedals and steering column , a nightmare to be honest any comments would be helpfull

Unfortunately I can't help, I haven't needed to replace the resistor but it is something I can look at creating a video about

mine is right hand drive making it v.difficult to get at because of the pedal box and steering, i think the plug is burnt also needing to be changed@@Pandamime

How did you get those windows buttons out ?

Using a plastic interior removal tool, carefully and gently pry it off. The buttons are held down with a very light mechanism. Don't be too nervous about it, it should pop right out
