Impressive. I'm surprised there aren't more views. Thanks

So glad I found your vid!!! My '05-5.3 factory injectors only have 2 holes. Perhaps I missed something about your make/model on injectors. I found a kit on Amazon-The Injector Shop-PN 4-250, $16.50 and it comes with all the O-rings and caps and filters for my stock injectors. Thanks for posting this vid!

Hey Randy, glad to see you back at it! Can you please list the manufacturer and part numbers of both the O-ring kit and the fuel injector filters?

Hi Christopher, thanks for commenting again... the package I bought which contains both the O-rings and filters is Uremco part #4-8, here's a link to it on Amazon: amzn.to/2Nn9UKh. They are also available from Summit Racing. This appears to be the right kit for the flex fuel 5.3 (Denso) injectors. The filters also work in the Delphi non-flex fuel 5.3L injectors like the ones in the video but the O-rings are different so I just re-used the old O-rings. Judging from the pictures on Amazon, I think the right kit for the Delphi injectors MIGHT be Uremco 5-6 (amzn.to/2TYk6vn) which also comes with the plastic pintle caps, but only enough for 6 injectors. I haven't actually verified this, I should order a set to confirm. Looks right in the pictures though.

You showed the decap process in good detail, and showed how to update the injector scale in hptuners. All of that is great, but the end result is the main info needed. It seemed to run rough and bad(only showed 10 seconds of runtime), but no more info? Was the Injector scale incorrect? How did you/were you able to make decap injectors function?
@LowbuckLS3 жыл бұрын
The injector scale was correct and I am still running these injectors in my truck, the truck can be heard running smoothly in later videos. For the most part they function fine, the only issue I have had is if I floor it my air/fuel ratio goes lean for a split second but I’m not sure if that is an injector issue or a tuning or fuel pump/regulator issue.

@@LowbuckLS I know this is a while back for you, it seemed like it was struggling. I wanted to know if you had to adjust anything else in the tune to make these work. So it straightened out after running for a little bit? I'm trying to decide whether to decap 8 of my spare truck injectors or just buy some 35-40lb/hr. injectors new. If it ran well, it won't cost me anything to try it out. My truck isn't turbo, but it's pushing the limits of the stock injectors at high rpm with approximately 400-420hp @crank. It's fun to drive, thanks for the reply.

@@Mattvardaman no I didn’t need to adjust anything else in the tune, during this startup there might have been some air still in the fuel rails or something since I had just taken the fuel system apart. I’m pretty sure the next time I started the truck it was fine.

I also just subscribed to your channel, nice looking truck, looks great!

@@LowbuckLS Thank you! I appreciate it. I couldn’t find a video with the cam I installed, so I uploaded some videos to help other people decide which truck cam to go with. I found your channel when I first started looking at Summit’s new Pro Ls camshaft line. I need to buy a go pro, I’ve recently completed transmission upgrades and replaced valve springs.

Hi i lost the black cap think this one will still work ?

it's not a filter it's a last chance screen protector.

You should have changed out the o rings on the top and bottom. I took my o rings off my injectors yesterday. I soaked them in brake cleaner and they actually got bigger. They wouldn’t even go back in the rail.
@musicfan19354 жыл бұрын
you grew those orings because there not meant to be soaked in brake cleaner.
