How to remove door panel 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT (better quality)

This is the second video that I made doing this exact same thing...I did this one with a better camera.

This is how to video at its finest. I have to replace cable and instead of paying mechanic 200 for parts and labor all I have to do is order cable from Chevrolet for 70 bucks and now I can put on myself. I could not get panel off my Silverado after wrestling with it for an hour. I was so frustrated I came close to ripping it off. I missed a few important steps on how to get off. Good video. Ty

Thanks. I needed this today to replace my mirror. I watched another video for a truck that had a different door panel. You showed me that the top front handle had two more bolts that needed to come out.

I trying to take the pane off with the door shut because the door opening mechanism broke so I’m going to try getting enough movement to open the door before continuing with the full removal.

Do you have to remove the whole door panel to replace a speaker? Or is there a way to pop the speaker grill off and access the speaker without removing the whole panel?

As far as I know, you have to remove the whole panel. It has been a while since I have done it, but it seems like there wasn't any way to do it without removing the panel.

do you know if its one whole piece or if you can take apart the top piece panel from the bottom piece panel?

As far as I know, the panel is one piece. I can't say I have ever tried to separate them though. It may be possible. Why do you ask? Is just one part of the panel broken?

Its not broken or anything. I wanted to wrap it with carbon fiber wrap and I only wanted to do the bottom half of it.

Gm really screwed the pooch on there new door panel / handle design , a proper way would be to fasten the interior door handle to the door and build the interior panel around it , they must have had new guys design that garbage

I got the panel off, that was fun with the door closed , the outside handle is not connected, but even manually moving the rod does nothing the leavers are moving at the mecanism . I guess I'm off to the dealer

thanks for the info I have a 08 2500hd lt and the rear doors won't open their is nothing connected to the handle , feels like anyway thank god the seats fold up I can hear the actuators working but only with the fob nothing happens with the door buttons I checked the fuses everyone of them is ok any ideas

I'm guessing just based on what you've described there is something wrong with the door handle itself? Have you attempted taking the back door panel off to look?
