thanks for the video, I almost went crazy a couple days ago trying to get the door panel back on. I was unaware about removing the Clips/weather strip and installing them first. All I could do is just laugh and think all that time I wasted, when I seen this video. Very informative and helpful.

man i love the new gm 1500s i have a 16 sierra z71 such a sexy truck especially the newer led ring style headlights but gm really makes it easy for you to install aftermarket stereo theres channels under the carpet to run your cables in door panels come off and back on super easy dash comes off easy plenty of room to fish wires through it and the firewall has a big rubber gromet with spots already there to run wires through

Do you have a similar video for 2017-19 Chevy Bolt? Need to replace a front door mirror. The removal of front panel seems similar to this video, but I am afraid of breaking the panel by forcefully pulling the panel out of the front door.

do you have any video showing how to remove the door panel weatherstrip that goes around the glass window? happens that a tinting window guy slice my passenger door weatherstrip were the mirror meet the glass window and now i have to replace it. i already have the part. a longggg rubber strip. this tutorial shows half way, removing plastic cover of the door panel. thank you so much, but i guess i still have some more steps ahead? please?

It's a slightly different process for a 2018 silverado. The wire harness for the power options would be easier to take off before removing the door panel. Besides, it's a different wiring harness.

+Dead or alive your're coming with me Sometimes they can be a little involved. Usually you need to remove the weatherstrip from around the window area so that you have more room to remove it. Hope this helps you out 1aauto.com

I work with a guy at GM who told me that he had to do this on a 2017 Chevy Silverado to install some different rear view mirrors. He also told me that he did NOT have to remove the weatherstripping from the panel like you did. He said that he was able to get the panel back on with no problem without doing what you did. Any thoughts on that?

As someone who has not had a chevy before i can tell you these door panels are the antithesis of book smart not street smart engineering. Having to take the whole thing off to just replace the mirrors is stupid.
