How to Remove Evo X Rear Bumper & Install Reflector Led Light Mod

-I bought these lights from ebay to replace the reflectors. Link is below, if anyone is interested in buying a set. They were only $17 and perform better than expected.
-These lights also work for the regular lancer not just for the evo x.

Don't understand why you wired it the way you did. There is a multi-plug connection (F-27 on Mitsubishi workshop manual Wiring diagram) behind the left strut tower, the reversing (back-up) lights are connected to Pin 5 (color of wire I'm not sure of) it would have saved you cable clipping to the convoluted sleeve that protects the wires running to the trunk lid. I plan on doing a similar thing to my 2014 Evo X MR, except I'm only going to use the brightest intensity lights (Brake) to run as rear fog lights and replace my bumper reflectors. There are two wires that I have un-accounted on the F-27 connector on Pins 6 and 7. UK spec Evo has a rear fog on the trunk lid instead of two reversing lights, but the wiring diagrams I have are only for the US spec evo. So I will strip the trunk lining out to get access to Multi-plug F-27 and determine what those two wires are. The two lights you installed could have been wired together and ran to the left side of the vehicle. The following pins for the F-27 connector are as follows. Pin 1 Trunk latch release (Unkown color) Pin 2 trunk latch release (White) Pin 3 trunk exterior push button (Part of the KOS) (Red) Pin 4 Common Ground (Black Wire) Pin 5 Reversing (Back-up Lights) Pins 6 and 7 unknown at this time. Pin 8 RH tail light (Brown) Pin 9 LH tail light (Yellow) Pin 10 High mounted stop light (Red) The combo lamps (Brake lights and regular running lights and turn signals) which run from D-17 connector (Not sure where that is located at this minute Although it is the left side of the vehicle and D-11 is the right side) Hope this helps

I connected mine but now my right side tail and brake doesn’t work I’ve re connectors the earth and yet nothing I’m thinking blown bulb but yea everything else works

I could understand not wanting to show your face on camera for whatever personal reason; but if you want to hide your license plate info and stuff at least be diligent about it through the video; (either remove it before hand so you give no info on state let alone other misc. info; or keep it covered consistently; blur or otherwise) unlike covering it halfway through the video then letting it all hang out from 5:31 to 6:34 right under the car... Just a word of advice for future videos; keep it consistent. :/ Nice install otherwise; id recommend people to check their local laws to ensure that it is not illegal for any reason to replace them as "other running lights" etc. since laws vary from state to state. What bulb are you using dor the reverse trunk light ? That is a bright white.. 👍

No put the car in rice then turn it off and then on again....

wouldn't of been easier to hook them up to your number plate lights.

My idea is that if you connect it to the plate lights you would negate the changing of red/white as the plate lights are constant ? But if your just trying to run red lights like the ones that come from IJDM toy then my best bet is to wire them through the plate lights as they turn on when the running res light is on . I don’t know if I explained that well lol
