I'm literally watching a section, and then going out to my garage and removing a part. Great job with all the videos. Thanks much to you and Jon for helping out the rest of us Garage Geeks! Cheers.

I have a 67 Camaro I bought when I was 17 back in 1990. I’m 50 this year and finally doing exactly this to the Car. I’m glad I did a search for Firebird because I would have never come across this. I truly have to thank you for posting this and the others with the suspension and painting. You really put the “can do it” in my soul with your steps. Thanks Brian! Seriously!

Thanks for this outstanding demo video you saved me a lot of head scratching and aggravation. I have a 69 Firebird that had a wheel bearing mishap that badly scared the spindle. The replacement was a breeze thanks to you

Nicely done! I just went through a few of these struggles replacing the factory ball joints on the wife's '67. That 50 years of Oklahoma dirt didn't slow you down as much as it slowed me down! I was impressed at your command of the Marketerhili and Texas languages. It's a shame the callers were in such a hurry to get off the phone.

I think there should be a disclaimer, this is not a safe way to remove that type of spring. It can be done without a spring compressor by the way.

im 1/3thru the video , I just did that work on my 68 Firebird about 2 months ago on just the drivers side. I did not use a spring compressor as i saw on utube channel auto resto mod how to remove springs without it.. Breaking loose the upper a-arm ball joint while a jack is underneath the lower. Then breaking loose the lower ball joint and slowly lowering the jack.. The spring has no where to go when freeing up the upper ball joint so its pretty safe..

I was freaking out a bit the first time I lowered that A-Arm... but it slide on out without issue! Thanks for watching and leaving a note! Thanks!!

@@ArrowheadGarage LMAO! so was I, believe me..It too came out safe and sound. I wish I could remove the front clip like you did and work on it but my mission is to restore the suspension, wake up the Pontiac 350 and get her running while continuing the resto Project.. You make great videos, real life how to's.. I always wait with your new venture on the 67 Bird. Keep up the great work.

Nice work on dirty job. Now that it's cooling off my 68 will get a disc brake conversion and new springs.

I am still trying to figure out which route to go on the front brakes...

I have driven them with the factory drum setup for years. It is what it is but functional. I have a Stainless steel brake Inc conversion on a 69 since 1994 and it has been boringly reliable. The 68 will get a generic conversion kit I bought from a friend. With the firebird rear not having c clips rear disc brake conversion is easy.

seems the old girl came apart very easily. are you going to upgrade the suspension and brakes to disk or keep it original. i know you could get a kit to change it to a new style. just courious

As of right now going to stick with the drums BUT if I could find a disc set up for a good deal Ill go with it.
