The rags seem lto be ess durable. We use an applicator specifically for this and it has held up probably necause we wash it in the washer the same day. The applicator isn't anything special just a regular applicator.

I used product called Winsor for awhile but it was to strong, if not careful it left marks on the floor and so on... So I prefer Sörbo HardWater remover,,, More easy to use and so on... What I use now, the most... never heard of what you have

How long will this product last like the gallon?

It really depends on how much you use.. if you're just starting out and doing 1 or 2 windows at a time, a gallon will probably last you a year.

Jacob Williams That's a great question! We don't use steel wool at all. Sometimes we use Bronze wool, but on this particular window, the stains were not that tough, so the wool was not needed.

I see. I've often thought about trying bronze wool, but I haven't found it at any local store. When it comes to my abrasives I try and buy them locally. What are some ups to bronze wool in your option? Also great video! Have you always used OneRestore?

Jacob Williams We buy our Bronze wool from Amazon. Here is a link, you can get it in bulk from this supplier: HOMAX PRODUCTS 123100 Bronze Fine Wool Pad, 3-Pack www.amazon.com/dp/B0000AXS0Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_Cd8qAbC036T3T We prefer BW over steel wool namely because steel wool rusts when it gets wet and that rust could damage the glass. Have had no issues with BW though. We also use other acids, and cleaners, but OneRestore is what we grab first. I try and buy local as much as possible. My friend James Riley turned me onto another product for hardwater.. I know very little about OneRestore but can't you use it for other purposes other than glass?

Heeeeelp! I've done this method and the three panes I've used this technique have blotch spots from spraying! Are these acid burns? I'm blaming me, not you, btw if so! I wet the window down, spray with 50/50 mix, let is soak in a bit, rub wool around the pane, then when I go to re-wet and squeegee these splotch marks obviously from directly where I sprayed are super visible on the pane and I am struggling to get them out. i feel like a friggin' idiot. What do you think it means? When I spray it directly to acid wash wand and do these steps, NO marks, but spraying on the window and it gets this. Tips or experience to lend an anxious newbie? I am seriously worried these panes are burned and I messed something up along the way.

If I understand your response, you have white marks on the panes that you're trying to get off? Is that correct? If so, I have good news. Those white marks are caused by cheap frames going through a process of oxidizing and there is nothing you can do. It will continue to oxidize over the years and they will continue to have white/bleach marks. It is normal especially for commercial store front. With that said, I wouldn't suggest you to be using One Restore on frames/panes. Only on glass.

Yeah, you got me. They're bleached runs. I did have a foolish setup with my sprayer that was liberally spraying and must have hit frames hard, running onto glass. Yikes. That really sucks. Nothing able to remove this, huh? Just avoid the issue in the first place I guess.
