If it's over burnt then will not be able to clean, you need to dye it in black colour or get it stitched ( specific area ) by Tailor or paste any embroided patch over there.

First make your iron hot at high temperature, once it goes hot , switch off and separate the lead of the iron from the switch board. Take a sharp knife and remove the burn from the iron slowly. Then let it cool, spread a thick layer of any toothpaste over there. Wait 5 minutes and remove it with soft cloth. Hopefully iron will be neat and clean. I will try to make a video on this problem.
