Andy, how do you then check the valve is sealing like you mentioned?

Good morning Jon, once the head is off ensure the spark plug is fitted and cam is rotated such that both valves are fully closed ( compression stroke). Place head upside down and level. Fill combustion area with fluid (water, diesel etc and if valve seats are leaking you will see the fluid leaking into the respective port. Hope this helps. Cheers Andy

Hi Andy ,Chaos but still learned a lot about Valves (would like to know more about valve seals) Xena Is an interesting character but I wouldn't say she isn't wired right I think perhaps she has a little ADHD perhaps! Nice to see how you coped with the unruly young lady and reminded me a little of certain pupils that used to sit at the back of the class. what ever you think about Xena she is defiantly a live wire and not conventional and that should be commended rather than criticised? Also she definitely won the shirt contest what ever happens :)

The actual lapping procedure was interesting as I have rebuilt engines in the past, but never did the valve work myself. Xena is hot and I LOVE how she has tied her shirt up, better than any other tool girl. Also, I wish I was a valve. I must say however that she is quite goofy and you won't be able to find a balance between tool girl hotness, educating and actually getting the project done. Might be a bit too much to control. I hope you get that massage however.
