Im about to replace my lower control arm on my 09 Avalon. I just looked at it yesterday. I figured those motor mounts had to come out but wasn't 100% sure

@CYCO I replaced that same control arms and new ball joints on my 08' toyota Avalon. Now my steering feels really touch and feels like the wheels are riding on the outer most edge of the tires. Almost feels unsafe to drive. Any idea what I might of screwed up? Did my Camber get thrown out of alignment? Thanks for your video.

I guess u didn't mess anything up I just that once your done replacing those parts you should head straight to the alignment place

When replacing any part u never tighten a bolt and then move to the next loose screw.. In a suspension job you have to tighten like a wheel once all screws are in and what u did was put on a bolt, tightened and then put force on the rubbers to make your lower control fit. Seen it and lived it. 😃

No u just remove the transmission mount close to the front strunt then you only remove the bolt on the motor mount in the front

Thanks for the video! I removed the dog bone, lifted engine and replaced lower control arm- passenger side. Went to to the driver's side and see antifreeze leaking!! I did forget to undo front engine mount. Did I ruin my radiator or just tear a hose? which one?!

I think what u should do first is to add some anti freeze inside the radiator then see where u can find the leak may be the radiator or a thorn hose

I got 2015 Camry when it hit the driveway and turn the wheel all the way right side at low speed, sound “thud “ or “knock” pop up, l filmed the bushing seems it’s normal. Any idea?

I can’t find out where the sound comes from, l suspected it may be bushing, tie rod or steering shaft, do u have any idea where the sound come from in my situation, thanks!

neteric Wong it all depends on the noise if it sounds like a cracking noise each time u turn ur steering wheel then it is ur axles

For this issue, l replaced lower ball joint, cv axle, sway bar link even motor mount, still don’t get it fix. The sound come up from the bottom of the pedal , that’s why l suspect either inner tie rod, lower control arm bushing and steering shaft. I have removed steering shaft inside the cabin portion, found that the shaft extension seems a bit loose, but not 100% sure it is the problem,then l slide the extension up and down try to move the inner tube grease to lubricate, but it doesn’t work, after reinstall, the sound still pop up again.

neteric Wong okay check if the stabilizer rod bushings are still intact or broken , for you to tell if your inter tie rod is bad , raise up one side ur tire have some play with the tire by shaking it then hold onto the outer tie rod if u feel any play on it then u need to replace the inner tie rod..
