Here is a straightforward method of removing mould that appears over time on silicone sealant used around the bath or shower cubicle.

Oh my goodness!!! I have gouged out the silicone sealant in my tub each time it gets lite this & re-sealed it to get it fresh & white again.. And, each time the mold seems to come back worse than before. I thought I was going to have to pay a professional to do it this time around & since my husband has passed away was not looking forward to the expense of it. After watching your demonstration I thought oh what the heck it's worth a try! I am so amazed & like the man said in another post I keep staring at the pure white silicone sealant! I'm shocked at how easy it was. Thank you, thank you!

This is a great tip - thank you! My mould was many times worse than you seemed to have had Malcolm and I was on the verge of once again replacing the sealant around my bath - then I stumbled across this video. I gave it a go as a last resort and the result was literally miraculous! If anyone is reading this, use a gel or thick type of bleach and remember to use rubber gloves whilst doing the procedure. I also used more toilet roll to dab away excess bleach after I'd finished, then left it to work overnight. The day previous to my trying this procedure I had scrubbed away at the mould with bleach on a toothbrush and got nowhere. Then I tried this way and et voila - clean sealant! Cracking tip this Malcolm, well done :)

Me and my wife tried this last night at 10pm and checked the results the following day 12pm... this does 99.9% work. Some of the really dark black patched turned light grey, so have reapplied again 2nite. Absolutely best video on KZbin and best results within the Home. Superb and just Awesome. Hughe Thank You

Great tip! Here's another... In a vented area. Mix 2 Tbs Comet/ Bleach powder and 1 Tbs of liquid bleach in a plastic cup. "Softly stir with a Straw or Popsicle stick" mix into a paste. Apply paste to the area. Let sit until it dries. Use a water sprayer to Mist and soften the dried paste. Remove with a paper towel. I use this method to remove hair dye from the bathroom walls and floor etc. You can buy sticks and a small water sprayer bottle from a dollar store. Use gloves if necessary. Hopefully, you have some of these items at home. ☺️

I just tried this today, I had some very stubborn dark stains on the silicone sealing the bottom of my custom fit stand up shower, that I had tried to remove with some specialized cleaners and lots of elbow grease, and after finding this and leaving it rest for 6 hours (had to remove it before heading to bed as the fumes were a bit too much), it worked like a charm! I was completely shocked and impressed on how well this worked! Amazing video and thanks for your help!
