【How to remove an unsightly oil slick floating on the surface of the tank】
This video is useful for people who have "an oil-like film on the surface of the water", "numerous bubbles on the surface of the water", or "a white film floating on the surface of the water".
Why does the oil film appear in the tank? In this series, we will unravel the causes of the problem.
In this series, we will first find out the causes of the problem and then quickly remove the oil slick from the tank to achieve a clean tank environment with no oil slick in the future.
【Please watch this video in the order of the numbered order starting from 1.】
The video below is not yet translated, but we will upload the English version in the future, so please be patient.

For my translated videos, there will be times when the audio will be out of sync,
This is due to not needing as much time to explain things in English

Could you go over Staghorn algae? I have been seeing a lot of conflicting information about removing it and would like to see how you would deal with it.

Official WASABI Moderator: Noted. Staghorn algae is CO2 related, and appears if you have aquarium plants with low CO2 or is fluctuating during photosynthesis. We hope this helps you. ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ

It's always been lack of oxygen that's causing my tank to have surface scum.

Not in mine... My plants pearl a lot but still have oil films... And my tank is densely planted too..

@@raghulrags Official WASABI Moderator: Unfortunately, pearling bubbles emitted from aquarium plants are so tiny, they are not large enough to 'pop' protein slicks at the surface. The larger bubbles from something like an air stone will have enough 'power' to 'pop' breaking a thick protein later at the top. We hope this helps you. ε(*´・∀・)з
