Great video. I'm removing 100 lbs of stereo equip from the trunk of my 89. Wanted to see how to take the panels out so I can remove the miles of wire that went to the amps & subwoofer. Very informative video, should prove helpful to me. 1st video that came up on my search had the rt panel already removed and he said his next project was to remove the left one. But he never showed how to! That's 7 min of my life I won't get back.

Great stuff! I have an 86.5 that I've been wanting to do this to for the 25 years I've owned the car, lol! I've got to either replace them or recover them due to the leather shrinking in spots. Nice to know all the little tidbits required to remove them!

I guess Porsche never anticipated the storage and mice issues that a lot of these cars now face. Nice work on the restoration. Keep up the great work!

I found a mummified rat in my torque tube cushion. Luckily nothing in the car.

Please excuse the pedant, Porsche would have used pozzidrive not Phillips. Slightly different angles to the driver, makes a lot of difference to tight screws.
