Are you not meant to wipe away any residual silicone remover?

The surface must be clean prior to application. So if there is any residue remaining, you are correct, this will need to be wiped away. There are number of silicone removers available on the market, so it is important to refer to the manufacturers instructions on the packaging for more detailed information.

@@SoudalUK Thanks a lot for the response. I'm using the Soudal silicone removal product, and I was a bit confused because it doesn't mention how to clear it off in the steps, which is why I looked at this video (which also doesn't describe that step). Common sense tells me that any residual silicone remover must be cleared before applying new silicone, however I was a bit confused as to how to do that properly. Is wiping it off with a dry cloth enough? Or do I need to use soap/wet cloth and then let it dry? Thanks again for taking the time to respond.

You can always repeat the process if there is any residue still remaining. Then clean thoroughly with a wet cloth and allow the surface to dry before applying the silicone. @@markwinterbottom3634 i had the exact same issue i think packaging should have a small icon guide to show the process its an expensive product at least it should have some Base instructions.
