Thank you for this. Bought a Nissan altima SL 2016 and they put resistors and removed all the airbags. Im going to have to do a full replacement. This instruction manual works for the high class 2015,2016,2017 and maybe 18 Nissan altima Sls. Its practically the same other than the shift knob area.

Hey ull still do airbag reset. My 2018 nissan maxima got in a accident. I order the airbag to replace it but i think i got to reset the srs module code right and the passenger side seat belt stuck and dont pull down. So all ull need is the bad seatbelt and the srs module?

Yes, we reset airbag control modules and rebuild seat belts. Yes, send your airbag module and seat belts. Your driver seat belt should be bad as well because there is always a driver in the vehicle in an accident. Sometimes, they may appear good, but still bad. The best way to tell if the seat belt is good or bad is to use a scan tool to pull codes. You can also send in your driver and passenger belt with the airbag control module. 2017 Nissan Maxima Platinum with 55k miles. No accidents. The airbag light came on in the cluster. Had the system scanned and came back with B0020:13 Side A/B (left) [open]. Cleared the code and after about 5 minutes of driving it came back on. Two days later, the light turned off while driving. Now two days later again, it came on again. What does the code mean?

We had a customer with same code: forum.myairbags.com/airbag-module-reset/error-code-that-was-given-was-b002013-side-airbag-left-open/ Most likely its faulty side/seat airbag or just the wiring plug that plugs directly into the airbag itself. It should be plugged in firmly.

I'm a bit late to the party at this point but ALWAYS DISCONNECT NEGATIVE FIRST! if you short the negative to ground its no issue but if you contact positive to ground....you're welding...lol

Hello Will, if your car was not in an accident then our airbag module reset service will NOT help you. It is best to take it to a body shop and have the SRS system scanned to see why the light came on. Most likely it is a bad connection somewhere. After getting it scanned if the issue is with the seat belts, then we can rebuild your seat belt pretensioners. Sometimes seat belt pretensioners go bad over time. If the problem is with airbag control module, then we recommend that you purchase a new airbag control module from the dealer.
