The key was the “elbow grease”. Took 15 of scrubbing to finally remove the glue. Thanks a lot for the tip.

It does work but you have to keep reapplying. If the glue is really thick, you can take a razor scraper(hold it flat on the countertop as to not scratch with the edges) and take off a lot of the extra glue. Hope that helps. This is only for stone counters.

Instead of nail polish (which is diluted acetone) try pure acetone

Would that be ok to use on stainless steel appliance( microwave) and wooden plank floors -vinyl ?

It's hard to say on the floors. The microwave should be fine but might need stainless steel polish afterward.

Another tip is to gently use a razor first to get the bulk of it off, then use the acetone for the residual.

How are you not more worried about the windex then acetone? I've used acetone on quartz got the glue off and then just rinsed it with water well its fine. I wouldn't leave windex on it though.

Because its acidic it would haze it if left one over time I would think. I mean your not washing it off right.

Quartz is a stone but wood is a different subject! It will eat the varnish or coating right off counter top

Was it regular glue or some special type like gorilla or liquid nail?? Did you try a razor scraper? Perhaps there is a little layer left behind. You might have luck with the nail polish remover that contains acetone. Hopefully that helps

Mine was a standard super glue. I think gorilla adds stuff to it. Was it yellow or clear? If yellow, that is probably why. That's too bad, sorry man.

There's always goof off or straight acetone. It's stronger but I don't know if it would damage the counter top. You can always test it on the bottom of the bullnose edge.

I tried doing this but unfortunately it discoloured the part that I cleaned up. Especially if you look at it from side angle. I’m so disappointed 😭

I tried but the glue is still there and it discolored the counter. I used mayo. Discoloration gone. I might just stick to the glue before I make things worse.

Yes, this was just regular nail polish remover. I didn't want to use acetone just in case it was too aggressive. It took some elbow grease but worked perfectly. 👍
