Hey George, great work and video to refer to in order to access swapping out any lower parts mounted to the front of the 06-11 8th gen civics. This video has helped me loosen the AC compressor in order to swap out the AC clutch first. Space is very limited when working on this car. My AC compressor on this car still continues to blow cold, but AC clutch dies out after a few minutes upon startup leading me to diagnose the entire AC clutch mechanism failing (probably the coil or its bearing). Will take it steps at a time rather than committing to the whole AC compressor unit. Thanks again!

Nice this doesn’t look that bad. Mine still works but makes robotic noise when the clutch kicks it on lol

Lol time for a change...lol the clutch pack wears down...it's probably metal on metal

Great video! Any advice on how to remove the A/C clutch only? There is no space to remove the clutch on the SI models. I really want to avoid removing the compressor and losing it's Freon. If it needs to be removed, that'll be my last option.

I tried but didnt have the proper tools to get to the last snap ring....i got half ways off but couldn't...

Lower the motor by taking off the bolt and nut from the left side mount on your accessory belt side. And get access to the compressor and remove the bolts. Let it hang down and you’ll have access to the co Pressor from the wheel well. You’ll need an impact to break the nut.

@@cleatcheck45 Thanks! I’ll give it a whirl 👍 My nephew’s 2009 Civic LX no issue replacing the clutch. Then, my stepson’s 2008 Civic Si, it’s a total cluster to have access to the clutch 😫
