How to remove the Classic Teams client with Intune

Thank you for the video. It is very helpful. However, I got a small issue. I am using the script and remediations method and for some reason, the detection status stays on "Pending" and I have no idea why's that. May I get some advise? Thanks

Intune could be slow with reporting on it- might have to wait til the device finishes provisioning.

What do you recommend if there are users using the classic teams client ? should be updated firstly right ? there are a methode to do it using Intune !? Thanks in advance .

We would want to deploy NEW Teams first, then remove classic.

Winget is way more easier to uninstall classic and install the new, did you try that?

Great Video - Thank you :-) small thing and really no big deal.... just found a typo in your detect.ps1 Write-Output "Classic Teams found; attempting install" we are attempting to unistall:-) - so change it to Write-Output "Classic Teams found; attempting UNinstall"

I tested the 2nd method from Intune.But application was not removed from control panel its showing teams machine -wide installer. And also showing old teams shortcut like teams personal. Please guide me.

How can we delete the registry keys for other user profiles which is still causing the defender to detect installation of Classic MS Teams. Not only for current user profile but for other user profiles as well.

I used the same method to uninstall the old teams from the user machine. But in the user machine teams addon was removed in Outlook
