FYI I have a 2017 Nissan Sentra I just did it you do not have to take off those side pieces the trim about the instrument cluster will come off easily with your fingers no need to take the vent off

I removed the screws and it still doesn't come out, is it just pulling or does it come with something else to hold it?

My lense has spotting. Is that attached to the bezel or the cluster gauge itself? Does the whole gauge need replaced if the lense does?

If you go to 1:51 in the video, you'll be able to see that the lens is part of the cluster itself. I would probably try to polish your lens rather than replace. Hope you can get it fixed.

How do I remove the lower panel like that. I need to replace the eco and traction control button and that is similar to my 2019 sentra
@seriousmustangnut Жыл бұрын
It's been about a year since I did this, but from what I could see looking at the video, the top of the lower panel is pressure fit, meaning it can be popped by tugging it toward the driver seat. I don't have the car to look at right now, so just be sure that there are no screws along the bottom of the panel before tugging on it. Most likely, it's all pressure fit.

Do you by chance know the size of our bulbs that light up speedometer/dashboard? Wanting to make my panel bright blue. 2016 Nissan Sentra SV
@seriousmustangnut2 жыл бұрын
They're surface mount LEDs and to change them would require removal of all of the gauge needles just to access them. The needles aren't keyed, so the likelihood of getting them in the proper position is slim, meaning your gauges would all read incorrectly. Before I would do it on the cluster in my car, I'd buy a spare from a Sentra and see if it's something you can pull off. They're around $45 shipped on ebay.

@@seriousmustangnut Glad I found this out the easy way. I've been wanting to turn my dash lights orange on my 2014 Sentra S (closest I'll get to the orange backlit gauges on all those mid-2000s Nissans) and I was thinking it would be as easy as just taking apart the dash and unscrewing a few bulbs like ChrisFix's tutorial. Thank you for telling me otherwise.

Is the cluster keyed to the car computer or can I replace it with another cluster? My trip computer screen locks and freezes and mostly just shows black. I really want to get another one and install it myself but I am afraid there will be an issue getting the new cluster to work.

I don't know anything for a fact, but most likely it is addressed to your computer. I would check with one of the Nissan forums like NICOclub.com and get some feedback from those in the know..

I need to get panel underneath steering column off to work on intermediate steering shaft on mu piece of fkn shit nissan versa no videos anywhere, im bout to take a sawzall to it . Any tips thnx

Never worked on a Versa, but most likely it's pretty much the same as the Sentra which is 'pressure fit' so it just uses metal clips on the ends of the tabs on the panel to snap in place. It can take a decent amount of force to remove, but be careful as the plastic will discolor or turn white if it gets too stressed. Look at the square holes in my dash below the cluster at the beginning of the video. That's where the clips snap in, so you pull it straight out.
