I can't get the assembly off it's on so tight.

Yes. As I went back to make the video about how to get to the differential, I did have a bit of struggle with it myself. Unfortunately, it is a bit hard to do especially if dirt, water or mud got into the assembly. Keep wiggling it out or use a screwdriver or a similar tool to pry it out. Little by little, it will come out.

However, It's a good thing since you don't want that area to move around while you're running the car.
