I’m removing old rear bumper and installing ranch hand diamond plate … good stuff .. no need to disconnect battery … but in my case the harness in the beginning was different and a pain to remove

What are the pry tools called your using to lift the clips and remove some of this stuff? Trying to find some to buy.

Panel clip pliers harbor freight sells them. I would also recommend buying their metal upholstery and trim tools. Great tools to have in the tool box.

I wonder if this new style bumper will bolt on to the previous years? The sensor wiring looks a bit different, wonder how much of a pain it would be

Do you have to disconnect the battery before disconnecting the clips to prevent codes

The harness disconnected at the beginning of the video is the wrong one for the 2021. You do not need to disconnect the red harness connector. It is the one below it and is square. Just follow the wiring from the back up sensors until it goes toward the rear driver side.

Why did ram create a plastic piece at the bottom of the bumper to house the sensors. It looks awful, makes the rear bumper look skinny and doesn’t blend in well with the exhaust cut out and tips.
