This is a tutorial video on how to remove and replace the back glass cover on your Samsung Galaxy S9.
Its the same procedure and same glass back cover used for all carrier models.

Far easier to reconnect the fingerprint sensor BEFORE putting on the back. Apart from being much easier to connect, it also has the advantage that you can use the frame of the sensor to guide placement of the back in the right location.

I've never removed a back cover like this, was curious how to remove. My battery is almost 2 yrs. old and was wondering how difficult it is to get at. I'm not sure how long batteries last, but IF I was removing or replacing that cover it might be good to put a new battery in it.

He missed one crucial step! You must clean the inside of the glass of the camera before mounting the new cover or your images might look softer and muddy.

What to do, if the glass cover had broken into many small glass fragments, because the S9 had hit something hard? Miraculously everything works, and there are'nt even a scratch on the touch screen.

This is a very valid point - the suction cup simply doesn't work over a crack. Best way to separate the adhesive is to warm it throroughly then ease in a chisel-tipped kraft knife.

Maybe I'm just not seeing it but where is the description to buy the actual replacement glass? I see the description for the hot plate to heat gun and the kit but the kids does not include the S9 glass that you need to put back on it once you take it off. Thanks for your time

@@JM-bb8xi I spent over 30 bucks on the S9 case and the blasted thing has already started to show some wear and tear. Emphasis on tear. I only got it this year in February. I bought a $10 case for my S4 years ago and it's stronger than this case. Oh and I dropped that phone allot before any visible damage to the case. It's ridiculous. But other than that I like my S9.

No, no you can’t buy additional adhesive. In fact Samsung doesn’t even buy it. The adhesive magically appears.

No that’s not true if you get water resistant adhesive and clean of the old stuff completely with a qtip and some adhesive remover or 99.9% rubbing alcohol then you can make your phone water resistant again

i put a 1500w heater right next to the phone its hot enough to the point you can't put ur hand infront of it for more than 3 seconds without feeling the burn, i left my phone for about 1 minute... the back did not even budge.. i have a big suction cup too very strong....
