FYI.. showtime is very important in RTTS, because that’s the ONLY way you’ll get DOUBLE progression points for your Fielding Attributes.

Your REACTION speed is too slow. You’re supposed to press the button (for which base you want to throw)before the ball comes to you. And showtime is very important in RTTS, because that’s the ONLY way you’ll get DOUBLE progression points for your Fielding Attributes.

Hecking legendary! I'll be applying this later :) I played a few games in the settings mode and got used to what I thought was pretty decent controls for someone learning the game. Then I experience my first throw as a catcher in the show and its like... WHAT THE HECK IS THIS? Thinking it might have been something special for the catcher, I restarted as a 3rd Base player and nope. Same issue! So if I am understanding this video correctly, I can have this set up so I can just push a button to throw to bases like in a normal game without the controller gymnastics I have to perform with what appears to be normal controls for RTTS? Also subbed for your efforts!

Yes you can change your throw settings and field settings to what you would experience in a real game like diamond dynasty, quick play or franchise mode

Yes there is if you go to your settings there will be an option that will say field time and you can set it to none. I can’t remember what section it’s under but it’s in the same section as the base running for road to the show. I hope that helps

It’s the throw animations like I was talking about. You would have to turn off showtime completely if you don’t want the multiple buttons. They did not put it where you could just turn that off by itself

There should be a setting in there that will say base running and you can change it to off, open base or lead runner and something else I believe. I’m not looking at the settings to remember the exact details and stuff

I have used your suggestions !! However, the fielding meter online is still on!! I’m losing games due to this !! Is there a way to turn that off and use the buttons like previous seasons? Someone please help

There should be settings for online controls as well not just road to the show. I can’t remember which section it’s under. Hopefully you can find it. Just make sure all your fielding settings are set to the ones you want because I know mine for road to the show is different than the ones for the franchise mode when I played it.

I honestly have never had my players dive on their own unless it’s a slow motion play in road to the show. Or if I press the dice button, I would check to see if your button might be sticking a little since they are diving without you making them

If your just a pitcher you do not get to hit. It’s a rule in the mlb that every team gets a pitch hitter now and they hit for the pitcher that way all they have to do is pitch

@NevafoldRj i don’t know why it would not let you turn the setting off. Do you play on Xbox or PlayStation? Because on PlayStation I haven’t had a problem turning the settings off. I switch it back and forth a lot when I play my catcher and short stop series
