You just need to swap the "power" of your potentiometer. A potentiometer have 3 connections: v+(Vcc/Vdd), ground (gnd), and another one for sensing the voltage between the voltage divider. If you have a multimeter, you need to find the ground pin on the potentiometer. You must find another known ground point on the whole circuit (usb cable has a ground pin inside your connector, just google "usb A pinout" to see which pin is gnd) you could also try measuring continuity between shield of usb, the metallic case of your usb. Warning: measure when the usb cable is plugged out of your pc/console. Once you find out which wire is gnd, you can measure which wire is supplying power to the potentiometer. For this you need to supply power to the wheel through usb cable. Warning: If you plug into your pc/console and make a short circuit with your multimeter probe, you could fry your device you are plugged into or the wheel. So you carefully should measure between gnd wire, that you found, and the other 2 wires. You should indentify the wire that has a constant voltage when you turn the wheel. Usually the feedback pin (sensing) voltage should be half the v+ voltage. Lets suppose you measure between gnd and wire1 and you get a 5V, and wire2 and gnd is 2.5V. When rotating the wheel wire2 should start changing (increasing to 5, or decreasing to gnd, which we suppose that ground voltage is 0V). That means wire1 is v+ and wire2 is the sensing. Now you should swap v+ which is wire1(with constant voltage when rotating the steering wheel and with a voltage greater than wire2) and gnd pin.
