Yes! Yes! I was neglecting my containers that had too much of that built up but I was running out of options....I didn't want to let my food touch the white spots at all because I thought it would make my food taste like dish detergent. Now I'm happy.

how do the plates do when cutting food with a knife. a knife with a blade. not the knives that come in a silverware set.

these are not designed to be used as a cutting board so it's not good to use a sharp bladed knife on the surface.
