How to Remove Truck Bed Decals the Easy Way (Debadging the Ranger)

Great!!! Your video and advise made it easy!!! I used carburetor cleaner to remove the label residue after the label was removed which worked fine with a little rubbing.

In late 2014 I placed a factory order for a 2015 F-250 Platinum SuperDuty 4WD, and I specified that I did not want either the FX4 decals on the sides or the dealer decal on the tailgate, and that's the way it was delivered to me. I don't think the FX4 decal looks that bad, it's just that I think it looks better without them, and I don't need to advertise the fact that it is 4WD, or where I purchased it. Glad to see we're in agreement. I did, however, use your method to remove the dealer decal on my recently purchased Rav4 that I bought off the lot. The dealer said they wouldn't remove their sticker "because it would damage the paint." Yeah, right!

Dealer decals are beyond frustrating. What’s worse is them lying to you saying removal would ruin the paint. 🤦🏼‍♂️

Thank you we didn't want to invest the money in a heat gun so we use a small hand torch in just stayed a good distance away from the actual sticker so we didn't burn it, obligation worked out great.

I just bought a 2019 sport f150 that has all the sport striping on the doors and down the truck. Do you think if I did this I would see the remenance of what was there or would it 100 percent be gone?

Can't usually go wrong with a hair dryer.... can use a gift card or old credit card to get it started. I've taken off old pin stripe from a 15 year old car and you just might have to put a little wax on a flat surface afterwards to clean up... However you will not have to worry about the indention letters on that tailgate....!!

I had a couple shots of tequila in my driveway and I was looking the sport 4x4 sticker and though that looks so factory after the lift, rims and tires, fender flares and my rock deflector so took my finger and got a little loose and both came right off. No need to heat it up. pulled my sport. There was a spec of adhesive left on either side where I start to peal. I took some hot water, dawn dish soap and a stiff bristle brush and those two tiny spots of adhesive came off in seconds. Total labor besides hot water dawn dish soap and brush. Under 45 seconds and one sip of my beer. When I bought my 93 finger I told the salesman that I wanted them to remove the dealer emble from the tailgate. The sales like myself said I don’t know if they can come off. The car wash came and peaked of in a second. Sales guy and I looked at each other well there ya go. I thought factory was somehow harder. I did the same with the ranger I have now a month ago. Pealed off the dealer sticker and Dawn dish soap with hot water did the trick. I think people over complicate things sometimes . Just take your finger nail and peal the damn thing off.

Claybars leave micro scratches especially noticeable on dark colors. I bought a truck that had a bunch of stupid stickers all over the tailgate. I used a hair dryer, a razor blade & WD40 with a soft cloth to remove the remaining residue
