We didn’t have Mineral Oil on hand so last night I applied a thin layer of Olive Oil, after a good scrub down. Happy to say this morning our sink looks fully restored, no more white spots! Thank you, Maris!

I had one stubborn white area about 1"by 3" by the drain that I couldn't get rid of. I soaked a pc of paper towel about that size with Clear and laid it on for about 20 min. It worked so I cleaned the whole sink rinsed and let dry completely then sealed with granite sealer. It looks great.

Which granite sealer did you use

@@dilmang professional's choice 511 impregnator sealer (water base) May have bought at home depot, not sure tho.

You soaked a pc of paper towel in what?

Thanks for the video though! Since I am moving out of my rental I might still use mineral oil. But not while living in the place.

Thank-you. Especially also for showing the after 7 days. All so helpful. My solution: avoid using sink as much as possible, dry off sink with microfibre cloth after every use, use dishwasher and wash hands in the bathroom 😂 hahaha shoot me now!

Omg this is so true. I really regret this darn sink!

It looks good. I think the white stuff is mineral deposits from the water.

Thank you! That makes so much sense! We discovered a mineral build up in our hot water kettle. I can't believe i didn't put 2 and 2 together🤦♀️

baking soda+vinegar neutralize each other, makes no sense to combine them
@skillfullyyoursmaris44258 ай бұрын
The combination of baking soda and vinegar creates a reaction that removes stain and cut through grease.

What??? I clean with baking soda and vinegar all my life!!! Works wonders

@@nayakiabates8814 It’s basic chemistry, acid+base neutralize each other. Google it if you don’t believe me. Try it without the vinegar next time and you’ll see even bigger wonders.
@mantasvisockis45097 ай бұрын
It does neutralize, because baking soda is alkaline and vinegar is acidic, so pH is neutral, but for cleaning purposes is not the pH that matters, but the reaction that happens when baking soda and vinegar is combined
