If you didnt Have to click into the edit the first plugin would be perfect but it also ads a number at the end of your file name after you add it, but I do like that the second one changes the links and everything so ill be using that one.

I did not like Phoenix plugin cause it just change the name, so it breaks the image whatever it has been used before.

That sounds like an error in the plugin, if you reach out to the plugin's support they should be able to take a look at possible reasons

Can you delete the plug-in after you're done using it?

You would want to check with the plugin's support and they will let you know if it requires it to stay installed but at the moment it appears that you can delete the plugin when you are no longer using it.

Hii! Our file names are numbers so I want to rename them. Specifically the images used on our wedding planning gallery website. I'm not sure which plug in I should use. The first seemed easier, the Phoenix one. Do I need links to be changed too? I am not sure what links are used for. My purpose is for file name, alt text, title to all help seo.

If you liked the first plugin please give it a try, the plugin should update any links on posts or pages to prevent the links from being broken.

question... it seems to add the file size to the saved file name when you do "save as" - is there a way to remove the file size?

We would recommend reaching out to the plugin's support as that should not be added when renaming images.

If the image was added through add media it should but if it was added via direct url then there is a chance it will not.

That is quite strange, you may need to try disabling your plugins to see if a plugin is preventing you from loading the list view.

Hi, I followed your advice. All my pictures in my gallery could be renamed,.Those on my homepage would not. When in media it does show file names changed but when updated would not update onto the live site.

Similar but different, the file name is for the specific file and its data while the title is something that can be displayed publicly and is more for informing the user
