Also, if you can do the same tutorial for Vray, that'd help!! I cant find a good wire frame tutorial for Vray for Maya.

Very Good tutorial! Thank You! For additional quality you can increase the value of the Filter Support in Coutour tab. Optionally you can change Filter Type from Box Filter to Gaussian Filter (Coutour tab).

When I try this and do a batch render it only works on frame 1, then the rest are just shaded.

I want to render wireframe only not mesh How to do that ?
@HBMHD9 жыл бұрын
Anyone knows if there's a way to render a smooth mesh shape while keeping the original lower-poly mesh visible in the final render?
@HamEggsButteredToast8 жыл бұрын
This answer probably comes a little late for you, but maybe it will help someone else. You could either duplicate the mesh, keep one smooth and one low-poly. Scale the low poly a tiny bit bigger, make it transparent but with wireframe active and it should appear on top of the visible smooth object. Or - for animated objects - you coud render the object out twice: once smooth, without wireframe and once transparent, with wireframe and black alpha background. You could then use the wire render as an overlay in another programm like After Effects.

Hi can somebody tell me where i will find in rendering settings MENATL RAY? I use Maya 2014 but all what i have is only maya software, hardware, hardware 2.0 and vector. I really have to know it bc i cant work with this. Thank you all.
@stevemartin267010 жыл бұрын
Window - Settings & Preferences - Plugin Manager. Scroll right down and in a separate tab for mental ray you will find "mayatomr.mll" tick the loaded box, if you want it to always be on tick the auto load box

dude u explain it between min 3 and min 4 and THATS IT. plz SOMEONE make short concised videos...this one could be YOU! dont make long vids cos just like you and me... we r on a schedule tnx anyway
@WarpWorld79 жыл бұрын
Agreed. Thought the process in this video could have been WAY tighter.
@HBMHD9 жыл бұрын
I don't agree; I've seen much faster tutorials that explain you how to accomplish something straight through several steps without explaining why said steps exist; in the end, you don't get to fully understand why the steps are for or how they work and how you can take full advantage of them; this guy explained everything very clearly, and some people that are still learning CGI or are new at it will surely appreciate this method. PS: If you're schedule is tight enough to complain about 7 minutes, you're not doing your job right.
