Does anyone know if after submitting all your CEUs, will the new expiration date will be 3 years added to the current expiration or 3 years after the you submitted your last CEU? Just want to make sure I do not lose any time if renewing resets the 3 years cycle instead of adding to the current one. Thanks.

Spoke with CompTIA customer service. If your certificate expires May 1, 2027 and you take the Certmaster CE in January 1st 2025, your new expiration date will be May 1st 2030. So it renews from the date your cert expires, NOT from the day you take it. In the video you see he took his Certmaster CE on March 1st, but the new expiration date was March 29th.

Thanks for the informative video. I passed the Sec+/Net+/A+ in 2021. I passed the CCNA exam in September of 2022 and would like to provide this info to CompTIA, so that my CompTIA certs will be extended until 2025. Unfortunately, I have not figured out the proper way to do this. Any information that would help me use my CCNA to extend my CompTIA certs expiration until 2025 would be appreciated. Thanks!

Milan, thx you for your feedback on the video. As far as your CCNA is concerned let me tell you what I saw because I also tried to do the same thing. On the COMPTIA website there are a list of documents that they will give you credit for. With the CCNA they only accepted it if it was the CCNA Security cert. I’ll see if I can find the link and I’ll post it here

@@millschristophe security plus is a good start for building a foundation. A pen tester is like an ethical hacker that works to find vulnerabilities in a system. Companies will pay you to try to penetrate thier system and services. Look into “GIAC” certifications. They are well respected in the security industry

You have to have the cert before you can renew it. Just because you have Sec plus, you don’t automatically get network and A plus. I hope that makes sense. Most people start with A plus. It really doesn’t matter which one you start with thought.

I would just get the A+ first then the network+ and then the security+. You should be able to do this all within 3 years. The security+ is by far the hardest imo.

Hi Uncle Tre. I have few questions about renewing my Comptia certifications. My network+ expires August 2023 and A+ expires Oct. 2024 one year after my Network+ 1. If i renewed my network+ cert. will that also renew my A+ as well, even my A+ still have more than one year before expiration date. 2. Can I renew my Network+ cert anytime during active 3 years, I have 6 months before expiration date can I just renew it now?

LR. greetings and salutations! Yes you can renew your net plus anytime with the 6 months that you have remaining. The A plus certification will automatically renew when you finish the net plus recertification. So they both will be renewed for another 3 years. I hope that explanation helps
