There is a difference between a real estate agency and a relocation agency. Real estate agents are appointed by the owner of the property to find a suitable tenant for his or her studio/apartment/house. What we do is in fact the contrary: we focus on the expat to find a suitable home and listen to the needs of the tenant. It was a pleasure assisting you and your husband in the past. However there’s a slight chance that she can’t come and live with me. If we have already paid the deposit, can I find someone else to take over her room and pay her deposit back by taking deposit from the new person?

Thank you, your videos are very informative. I am also in a similar situation as you were when you went to Belgium. I got a job offer with a company in Belgium currently processing my Work Permit. My question regarding registering in the commune were you able to register with the serviced apartment given to you by the company ? I am also entitled to one month of accommodation. Cos I heard you can't open a bank account without doing the registration and you can't rent a home without a bank account while at the same time cannot register at the commune without an address 😅 Thank You

Thank you 😊 Utility means electricity, water bill per month. For that many energy providers are there to select for your source of electricity. All have different charges. Tax is a huge topic on which I will make separate video soon . Medical care is excellent here

Situation is very much in control and all are getting vaccinated pretty fast. You should know the local language which will help you to get job

Situation in Ghent is good at the moment 🙂 although numbers are rising again slowly everywhere in Europe, it is still very much under control in Ghent. To get a student job will not be the easiest thing as you don't speak Dutch (I assume). But Ghent is a very amazing city, I'm sure you will enjoy it a lot. Are you planning on getting a job in Belgium after graduation? Because knowing the language is very important to get a job here. My Indian partner studied in Ghent and had a lot of trouble finding a job here 😅
