Ok, thanks so much. I left home right after I graduated high school. I went off to college and made it my life's mission to NEVER move back home because my mom and I didn't get along under the same roof. You would be surprised that the number one cause of beef in the home ( my opinion) is you're an adult, is just that, you're and adult and you want to do your own thing, and they have a different idea of what you should be doing. But that's the key, don't get too comfortable and never leave. Use that as motivation to keep saving, working hard ( two jobs even) and move out. All that tension means it's time to go. Not that you don't love them, or they don't love you, you're just older. You have to keep your mouth closed and stay respectful because it's there house.Don't bite the hand that feeds you. When you move out, if you get into it, you can leave and finish the talk when you want. Not in their house. Use everything around you to motivate you to keep pushing, and create better habits for yourself (productive ones) and set some goals. You can't be lazy (not saying you are) if you want to be great. It takes hard work, no short cuts. You can do it. And if you need anything or have any questions just let me know.
@JillianBaileyMcc7 жыл бұрын
Brittany Daniel I agree ! I try to keep my mouth shut and not be disrespectful at all but I do feel the desire growing that the time is coming for me to move out so everything around me motivates me to stick to budget, deny immediate pleasures to save for more rewarding ones like my own place. Sometimes I feel guilty like if I loved my parents or if I was really grateful I wouldn't want to move out but it's obviously natural to leave the nest at some point. I have a money goal & date set. And I'm working hard to secure either a promotion at work or better job by my graduation date next May. How did you tell your mom you were moving out & was it a big deal or did she take it well?
@LoveKirana6 жыл бұрын
The roommate stuff is exactly why i'm just moving by myself. Also some people do not clean like you or not as organize as you are. Getting your own place is ideal if you're someone who know you can not live with ppl for long save to and make sure you make enough money to live by yourself.

Vid came on time. I'm repairing my credit and before when I was young I didn't know what I did want. But now as I'm older I really want to be financially able to have my own. Adulting is hard! Bills can be stressful. You know, working two jobs for others look easy until you do it. Hopefully I hope I get there. It's harder when you're doing it alone.

What do you think about breaking a lease early but paying the fee? Not sure if this affects my renters history or if the “lease break fee” will make up for it and NOT affect my history?
@MrsBrittanyGold6 жыл бұрын
alondra c that’s a good question. I’m not sure. I would ask your apartment how they report that. If you pay the fee, which can be the rent for the rest of the year (not sure) sometimes isn’t worth the money or headache. But I would just ask and see what they say. If it does affect it in a bad way, I wouldn’t do it unless you HAVE to. But changing apartments in the same complex is easy and most of the time easy to do.

I know this is really late, but breaking your lease does not negatively affect your credit. It does affect your rental history, but most (if not all) will be okay with a broken lease on your rental history so long as the balance has been paid off. if you don't have rental history you will most likely pay a first time renters fee. Also, It will depend on where you live to get something that cheap. I don't know where you live but just do some searching online or look into getting a roommate to cut down costs.

It's ok. Things often don't happen when we want it but in God's time. If it were meant for you to move out, things would line up. Be thankful in these moments and blessings will start moving in your fav. Have you considered getting a second job? I have two and if I only had one I would be stressed with everything I'm trying to do. It's not easy. I worked from 9am-4pm then drove 30 mins to work from 5pm-12am I got home around 12:30 and I'm up responding to messages to you guys. It won't be easy but it will be worth it when you're in your new place with extra funds in your pocket. If I can do it, you can do it! Keep me posted on your journey.

I stayed in the dorms for one semester and then have had my apartment on my own ever since May 2015. I wish I had a place to call "home" and go to on the weekends and holidays. I wish I had a place to live at during the summer months. It sucks. I'm jealous, but I also love being independent.

1:20 The state/city I’m in has an apartment that is basically targeted towards people being on their own and they pay for all the utilities even the cable and all I’d have to do is pay for my car insurance and rent. 😍 I can’t wait!!
@chelseykate145 жыл бұрын
I work in a call center for a utilities company and I will preach this-do not co-sign anything or agree to be financially responsible for anyone’s account just to help them out for the “one time” what most people don’t understand is by doing this you’re basically signing up for their debt and it will follow you and hit your credit . I can’t tell you how many people call in to my job trying to start service and they were added to that persons account years ago and the actual account holder racked up over a thousand dollars in bills never paid and the person who added themselves suddenly can’t start their own service until that debt is paid even though they never lived there nor benefitted from the service but they added themselves to the account to make a payment a couple of times to help them out because they were a nice person. I don’t care how good friends you are or if they’re your own mother. HO👏🏻DONT👏🏻 DO 👏🏻IT.

However, even though I acknowledge this blessing and time of focus I get curious and sometimes wonder if I’m cheating Life-??? Whenever I watch videos on budgeting and apartments I'm reminded that the cost of living in NY is so much higher than the rest of this country lmao like people are outraged by $500 rent? 😂I'm looking for a place around Albany and you really can't find anything worth living in below $800 a month. In fact, you should expect to pay around $1,000+. Same for My hometown downstate. The rural and less urban parts are different to an extent but idk why people like small NY towns. Then NYC is a whole other story on the complete opposite side of the spectrum 😂😂

What’s the price ranges in Texas for apartments?
@MrsBrittanyGold5 жыл бұрын
It depends on where you want to live. If you live in the hood, it could go as low as $600/$700 for a one bedroom. In the middle for an ok place. Boujee areas can cost around $1200- 1400 sometimes $2000 for a one bedroom but that's a very nice apartment. It will depend on what you're looking for and where you want to live.
