Funny how stuff like this misses the obvious. How does one go through this process while living elsewhere? Or are people expected to live on the street until they've finished the process? Whoever produced this video didn't actually confer with people who moved from elsewhere. They thought that growing up in PEI would give them all the information they would need...

Next you will want to find a job PEI has many Min wage jobs set by temp agency You could be Packing clams for 8 to 9 hrs But placed on part time labor So the company can save money not having to pay full time wages or benifits ..Next week be sent to another low skilled job If you gather maybe 2 to 3 jobs you too can afford to pay rent in a 1 bedroom with a roommate and a chance he or she too is from your country And if you have a high end job skill It might not be good for Canada As Canada sets a higher level of skill for its new comers not of common weatlh USA England France Germany Etc This is where you ask Canada for Student funding and retake schooling And apply for Welfare in the mean time You can be any age if your a new comer However if you are already Canadian you must be under the age of 25 to be approved My Veteran Grandfather is rolling in his grave

The market varies based on size, number of rooms, location, amenities etc. You can search for rentals on various websites like www.usedpei.com/classifieds/real-estate-rentals or www.kijiji.ca/h-prince-edward-island/1700118. There are also Facebook Pages and websites that are run by property management companies. Try searching "apartments for rent in Prince Edward Island" or "houses for rent in Prince Edward Island" and you will find more information about availability and rental costs on PEI.
