Best video I seen in a long time to the point without all the BS and gibberish talk👍

We ran nothing but CAT pumps at the car washes my parents owned. Dad had me rebuilding and changing manifolds at about 12 years old. 7 310's in the self serve and a 3535 for the automatic.

Great video. Best I've seen on rebuild for these pumps. Better than kleen rites video actually. I'm hoping it's possible to ask a question since ur so knowledgeable and I'm not. I have 1 pump out of 6 that is not mixing soap and high pressure water. Only water is coming out. All other 5 have good soap. Soap comes from same source. I've checked the obvious things....... 1. Soap is going to the solenoid 2. Solenoid is magnetized when selected 3. Pressure on the pump is 1200 psi. Thanks for any support.

Thanks! With upstream injection I find I need no more than about 25psi coming into the pump if it’s on city water for a venturi to draw, unless it’s drawing from a reservoir

Do you still have this setup? I am looking to build something like this for my garage and was wondering if you had a video explaining the system.
@Mystic-l3r Жыл бұрын
Video is three years old might want to contact them, or check there website for the videos of the pressure pump setups

Great video! I’m surprised you only had low pressure issues. With the valves not seated/ snapped, I would have expected some pulsing as well. Thanks for the video!

Can you list all the parts you replaced?

Great video Sir, how often do these Cat pumps need to be serviced? And if you don’t mind me asking, approximately how much do these seal kits cost?? I’m looking to upgrade my pump and these pumps look quite robust and certainly easy enough to service. Appreciate any advice you care to share. Cheers.

Yeah these are awesome pumps I’ve always liked them the best of all the options out there, I used to charge about $130 for a seal kit but I haven’t needed to buy them in quite some time I’m not sure what they are going for now

Great but where to buy complete kit?

I have a cat 350 pump. For some reason i dont have enough presure at the end. The pressure gauge shows around 150bar but it feels like 80 or 90. I replaced the pressure regulator and still the same. Could it be the orings as well?
@ChemX3 жыл бұрын
Is it pulsing at all or is it running smooth?
@lipcsaiify3 жыл бұрын
@@ChemX its running smooth, when it pulsate i changes those little plastic things that have arc in them, but its not the case, also the pressure builds up more slowly when the pump starts...weird for the high pressure shown on gauge and little at the end of the pistol
@ChemX3 жыл бұрын
I would think the seals may need to be swapped or maybe the nozzle might be a little large, they wear larger over time if it’s older which drops the psi
@lipcsaiify3 жыл бұрын
@@ChemX i swaped the nozzle. So maybe the seals...but the pressure gauge shows me 150 bar...but it just doesent feels like that much
@ChemX3 жыл бұрын
Yeah could be seals then usually they get 500-1000 hours run time

The torque on the valve plugs should be around 48lbs for the 310/2120 and 72lbs for the 530. Sorry about the mix up.
@wesfarranto83354 жыл бұрын
Good video but please check for washout where valve oring seat and where the high pressure seal seats or you are wasting time and money on the repair. Also torque the valve plugs to 72 ft lbs. For the ceramics check the copper washer out carefully for washout too. You need to add a drop of Blue loctite of some sort to the bolt and torque to 55 inch lbs. You might want to put some oil on the new wicks as well. Check your oil for water, in the video there was a lot of water spitting out and it can and will pass by the crankcase seals into the crankcase. Change the oil if there is water in it (milky looking) .

Awesome tips man thank you👏

@@ChemX Thanks this was my first ever comment . I do this for a living but mostly I repair the washout in these manifolds. I bore them out and replace it with stainless steel. But I am in Canada. Wes - Gray Jay Services Inc.

Sir, I give you a ton of credit in the making of this video. Not too much gabbing and most of us watching these types of videos do not have to watch mundane minutes of someone loosening screws, nuts or bolts, etc. Your video on the other hand was on point and streamlined to essential information. Thanks
