How to repair a Faulty Vauxhall or Opel Insignia tailgate button. Replacement.

This is a long form instructional video on how to replace the tailgate button on a 2016 Vauxhall or Opel Insignia sports tourer. Common fault caused by water ingress. There are other videos on this fix but hopefully this makes it clearer and adds to the other peoples' videos.

Have not done the procedure yet on my 2014 insignia in sweden but this have already been very useful for understanding the important details, do’s and dont’s. This kind of good filming and info are hard to come by so thank you VERY much indeed.🙏🏼

I'm working up the motivation to tackle this problem 'cos it seems like a right faff - I've been surviving with the key fob and interior button for months 😂 Cheers for the video, it'll definitely help!

@@SuperEddzz I’d probably have left it but I was too worried the boot would open and let my dogs out the back if they were in the car when I popped in a shop or something. Twice I retired to the car with the boot wide open. Thankfully I had the dogs out the car. Hope it goes well when you do it!

@@westkie I think so long as you turn off the auto tailgate from the drivers side door, it won't open 👍🏻 I usually do this as an additional precaution when I have the dog in the boot!
