Thank you very much for this video. My heater is a Kerona WKH-100 but the dial mechanism is almost identical. A former owner has fiddled with it so it's not working. Now I know what the release spring is supposed to look like!

Thank you so much for making this video. My heater is kerosene by Dura-Heat but I'm sure it is all the same mechanisms in any oil burner. I have noticed occasionally when I push the off switch that a little later I smell noxious odor and realize the heater didn't go completely out. I fiddle with handle while pushing the off switch and it then drops completely and goes out. I just have to be aware when I turn it off to check to be sure it really is out. I'm glad I found your channel because of this video. I subscribed because I looked at your videos and I think I will enjoy watching your content. Merry Christmas from USA.

thanks Maggie! Yes I'm sure that most mechanisms are the same or similar. Thats exactly the same problem that I had with my heater, until I increased the tension on the spring. But I have 2 other heaters with the same problem and I give the dial a little extra turn to make sure its completely off- the same as you do withe your handle. Happy Xmas to you too and thanks for subscribing:)

Great video! I have this heat for over 20 years and has never failed. We started using it again like years ago in our caravan, but now during travel the paraffin is leaking out. We tried it putting in the car so it’s not moving, but still leaks. This never happened before, any ideas where it could be leaking from?
@davekennedy522 жыл бұрын
Thanks very much Sport Zone! The heater should be completely flat when working. The most probable place where it could be leaking is where you put the paraffin container. There is an open cup at the bottom which has a level of paraffin in it. I think you could also check the container itself.Turn the container upside down to see if anything leaks out. There is a little button in the lid, it acts like a valve to let paraffin out when the little cup is empty. I once had a lid where the valve stuck in the open position and it leaked. When you travel, take the container out and keep it upright. Hope that helps

How to fix the heater when it is wound to tight. Know won't turn back
@davekennedy522 жыл бұрын
Hi Helen, have you tried lifting out the fuel tank, that usually acts like a cut off switch
@helenrodriguez43982 жыл бұрын
@@davekennedy52 fuel is made under nief the burner.

@@helenrodriguez4398 can also be that your mesh is stuck in the up position. If you have an "off" button, keep pushing it and at the same time turn the dial back and forward, back and forward with some force. What is the make of your heater?

Thank you for the excellent instruction! This is the only video I could find that shows how to do this! I did find one other but the guy stops filming and then starts AFTER he's taken it off, fixed it & put it back together! Then he blocks the view when he's explaining what he did. That kind of makes his video pointless....My heater is a little different (yours is nicer) but the spring thing is the basicly the same. I'm not so intimidated about taking that spring off. Wish me luck! Thanks again!
