Great Video. I have a ~80 pounds of pressure on my drip system, but no leaking water. Will replacing internal parts lower my pressure to drip to 50 or so?... thanks

No, afraid not. Drip irrigation systems require a pressure regulator to lower the pressure to a level the components can tolerate. These are usually located downstream of the valve. If I want to replace it l, how do I know the size 0.5” or 1”...?

The size should be stamped on it. For the Febco brand, you can see an example here: store.ewingirrigation.com/15000430-1-inch-765-series-pressure-vacuum-breaker Where it says 765-1, the "1" stands for 1 inch. The ball valves on each end should also show the size. Thanks for watching!

Either a Wilkins or Febco should work with your pipe size but the width and length of the device might not match up. Since Backflow devices are such a critical component of an irrigation system for protecting your drinking water supply, we recommend that you contact a qualified contractor to help you with your replacement.
