If you have judge red one they was just simply exposed…does out the exposure cause any issues itself? I had a house nest and can’t find any serious chewing but a few exposures. Nocrank since the nest was made

How would the fix be different if most of the wire's colored insulation is gone? Do i just put extra shrink tubing on it and treat it the same? Or how do you know if the wire needs replacing or something?

Should be! All automotive wiring is basic the same Gauge/thickness in specific areas. This IS the process you could use to splice ANY wiring together securely and with Weather protection. The ONLY issue would be .making sure you have the right SIZE heat shrink tubing and Crimp. But that's easy as most automotive stores will sell a Universal or multiple size kit for around $20.

My question is, instead of splicing the wire, can the entire wire be replaced? If so, how? The reason for asking is I had this same problem, and ever since it happened, my mpg has plummeted to 10mpg.

Hey thanks for watching! For this specific issue featured in the video, you could buy a new "ignition coil wiring harness". That would come with all new connectors and wires already put together for every ignition could you just "plug and play" from there into the appropriate coil packs. I'm sure it will come with instructions on how to properly install! That being said splicing is just as secure aconnection, If you're experiencing such a severe drop in MPG it's most likely unrelated to 1 wire. You would however be receiving codes/check engine lights associated with a misfire. Good luck!
