I read few comments below , let me share my 40 + years experience with public . this valve is only necessary where there is a snow fall area and temperature falls below 0 degree ,,,, Areas such like Pakistan . middle east, Africa with hot weather condition , you do not need it in your engine . Remove it from your engine on the first day as soon as you receive your zero meter car from show room ... otherwise workshops and ustaads will keep on emptying your pockets . Thermostat valve is very important for engine to maintain water flow, temperature and other things. In some automatic cars if temperature falls down it doesn't allow 4th gear had Liana eminent and I face this issue

Company does not make any profit untill n unless you purchase the light bulb after every few months . Same is the engine , they put some unwanted parts , remove them and make your life easier . Don't miss guide people, thermostat valve is very important for the engine. Removing your thermostat will prevent your engine to reach its optimum operating temperatures. Engines are designed to work at their max potential when they are all warm and toasty. Optimum operating level means your engine oil being at its best viscosity, your engine hardware at its best temperature so it generates less friction, your charge (mixture of air and fuel) being ignited at the best temperature to extract as much bang from it as possible (otherwise you’ll get bad fuel average from your car), and a host of other things. Running your engine without a thermostat will, for a lack of better word, ‘over-cool’ your engine, and that is big no. This can seriously harm your engine and reduce its life by increase in premature wear and tear of its components. Trust me, I know. I have personally killed an engine like that.

دراصل یہ تھرو اسٹیٹ والو زیرو درجہ حرارت والے ملکوں کیلیے لگایا جاتا ھے ۔ پاکستان جیسے گرم ممالک جہاں سردیوں میں کم سے کم درجہ حرارت 10درجہ حرارت ھوتا ھے کیلیے ضروری نہیں ھے ۔ اگر فین کسی وجہ سے بند ھو جاے تو گاڑی بار بار اور ھیٹ ھو جاے گی ۔ لہزا راولپندی سے کراچی تک میدانی علاقوں میں یہ والو نکال دینا ھی بہتر ھوگا ۔
