How's this holding up for you 3 years later? Did the flex seal hold the paint?

looks sturdy. Where did you learn how to weld? Great job.

Realistically, after you've done one or two, you can complete one of these in about an hour if you have all the tools, including a coat of flex-seal. Materials, will run you another $20-30 if you're having to buy in small quantities. Someone that does metalwork may already have most of the materials. I would say $100-$200 per post, depending on the condition of the rest of the fence (assuming there's enough good metal to weld to) would not be out of line. It's still faster and a lot less expensive than a tear-out and re-install situation and can be done without destroying the landscaping.

To do that repair work ultra clean would be 175.00 for the one repair or in other words 150 per hr plus matetials Min service call for clean field fab work for us is 175.00 if its with in 5 miles of the shop and 225 if its over 5 miles from the shop. Multiply that buy each hr a repair or if its a full days worth of fab and repair its 900 for the entire day for two guys plus materials. At todays insane prices those are our rates and im always told by other contractors that I work to cheap and that we should raise our day rates to 1200.00

Honestly, I talked to just one shop and then decided it might be a fun project to tackle myself...and I get to keep any tools I had to buy! Sometimes I'm just too cheap for my own good; but it was fun!
