Hello, Mike, I suspect my Pixel 4XL's FPC Battery connector could be short(faulty), Is there a way i can use the multimeter to check if the FPC connnector is the problem ? Will a battery connector(short) prevent the phone from booting up ? Thanks.

Hello Mike, The 2 removed capacitors fixed the problem or battery repair you did fixed the problem ? Did you remove the capacitors or you replaced them with good ones ? If you had repaired the battery and started the phone, would the phone have booted ? or it was necessary to remove the capacitors ? sorry for the noob questions. thanks & regards.

Hi Everything I did was necessary for the phone to successfully boot up. I didn't replace the capacitors

No The capacitor was the reason the phone was able to power on. There was a short circuit caused by the capacitor. And the phone was totally dead at that state. Removing the capacitor solved the shorting problem ab the phone was about to show signs of being alive and the battery also had a problem so I had to fix that as well

@IAGVyuing a new battery would have worked after removing the capacitors. not before removing the capacitors. Thank you for the sub 😁
