went to pick up my brand new 2023 Starcraft Tritoon today, and the power bimini was doing some crazy thigs and stopped working all together (the captains side motor) although we (the dealership mechanic) got it to jar free with direct voltage from a jump box.. It would only go about 1 foot towards lowering the Bimini, and jam and stop... Im wondering if it was something as youve shown here,, broken tooth? Square nut off of the Worm gear/screw? it was at one point, spinning freely, but would almost engage if we put pressure on the Arm manulally while it was spinning. Mechanic gave up and the dealership is ordering a new motor assembly under warranty ! haha Im now wondering it if was in fact an easy fix...

How has the 2nd bimini come along? Have you installed it yet? I'm questioning the same upgrade.

Yes is did and it has worked out Fantastic! My wife loves being able to sit anywhere in the boat she wants without being in the hot sun. The rear canopy tucks under the front canopy ever so slightly, so when I am at full speed the rear canopy does not want to lift up. More stream lined you could say.

Thank you for this video. I have the older hydraulic PWR-ARM, I think it's just off by 1 gear. Now I know where to start!

Great video. Thank you. Very informative. I just purchased a new boat that has this same powered bimini top. I like educating myself on how systems work on order to operate them for peak preformed and longevity. Thank you again.

Mr Hilker, where did you procure the "pinion" gear assy? Having a little trouble with Lippert.

I got on Lipperts web site and found their 800 number. Had no issue ordering replacement parts.
