Hugs to all in the live chat, I was busy this morning and couldn't join. Nicely done Laura!! I recently mended some hand knit socks, not the best mend but they are back in use now!! Hope your move went well and sending the best vibes your way!!

Sorry I missed the stream today! Laura, I've really come to like the idea of visible mending. I don't have anything that needs mending at the moment, but I think it would be super cute to make some sunflower granny squares out of crochet thread and use them as tiny patches! I just think it would be so cute😍 Also, I'm sending positive thoughts/vibes/energy to everyone that needs it right now. I hope your 2022 gets better ❤️

That's a great idea! little granny mends :) :) Also, thanks for the vibes, I can seriously use them right now! Here's to a better 2022!

@@LastMinuteLaura here's to a better 2022 Laura ❤️ I'm not sure what the weather is looking like for you tomorrow and Monday, but I hope you, Alex, and Thunder stay safe. We're getting about 8-13 inches of a wintery mix here and it got down to -35°F last night with the wind chill. Hopefully this passes quickly and everyone is safe❤️ continuing to send positive thoughts and vibes your way. Have a good weekend 🙂

I love this, it's super cute! Another suggestion is to put the work in an embroidery hoop before patching, because it stabilises everything and holds the tension for you :)

Thank you! I think thats a good idea when working a mend on the body portion of a garment. When in the sleeves, I used no hoop, because all of mine were too large to get into the sleeve. I think that would have worked like a charm, had I had a smaller (maybe 3 inch hoop) Good idea though for next time!

Luv the mend and it's good to increase the life of a garment.

thank youuu :) yes I agree, you can keep garments longer, and add a little story to it :)

a good visible mend is like a love bandaid, someone can ask why would you save an old sweater, and it gives you a chance to show how something you made by hand is worth saving because of all the love that went into its creation in the first place, great video, and friends, don't forget to hit the like and subscribe!!!
