Just went on your FB page. I got family in Palm Beach. You guys get to tile pools, here in Canada we only have that option in indoor pools. Not saying you can't do it, just not recommended.

@ 1:40, they are not removing loose particles, they are scoring the concrete so the coping will adhere better when they apply new sealant. They should just put up an advertisement for 8 minutes instead. Also, it's great to show technique, but this is KZbin, where is your materials list with links to purchase on Amazon or similar? This DIY is woefully incomplete.

So does all the sand dust and crumbs go into your skimmer? Would it be better to remove water or it’s fine the way you’re doing it knowing it won’t damage the filter?
@platinumpaversofswfl89973 жыл бұрын
You do not need remove the water. The dust is minimal.
@shanetedder73902 жыл бұрын
Would cost a lot more to drain and fill your pool then replace the filter.
@anonamous30912 жыл бұрын
Exactly what I was thinking. That’s a lot of grinding debris in the pool. Should hav set up a eork area away from the pool to work on the stone.
@thereefaholic2 жыл бұрын
That polymeric sand is absolutely destructive to the pool motor, and will clog up the filter. You’re basically dumping a water activated polymer into the water.All of those so-called minerals are the worst minerals that you want to have in your pool as some of them will calcify onto the electronic parts such as motor bearings.
@markbirmes37392 жыл бұрын
Stop yalls crying. Its not a big deal. Residual is captured by the filter media, never contacts the bearings.

Sealant? Haha. You use cement. This is so wrong its funny. You do not adhere bullnose coping to a pool with mastic. The tile is grouted in dark grey. You use grey cement. Not white paste!

@@MrBmxbrawler The link he posted is for Thinset Mortar, which is a cement based product. He either mistakenly called it "Mortar" or doesn't know the difference.

The use of slow motion is so annoying. And you linger on pointless stuff for way too long. Like, I know how a brush works. A minute of it is a waste of time. I'm coming here to learn the process.
