This is really interesting failure, because you might think that everything works in the primary side, but it isn't the case. Failure might still be on the primary side, but only feedback part of the circuit. This is really helpful video for hopefully successful repair of smps and save money and environment. Great video as usual. Your all videos are good and informative. I also like to perform voltage test method because it's the most accurate and fastest way to find problems in SMPS. I use Blue ESR meter for test electrolytic capacitor's ESR Ohms value. Because most of the time capacitor tester or multimeter capacitor function cannot find bad capacitor. Their capacitance value also shows good but their internal ESR value goes high. I recommend you to buy any good ESR meter or ESR Tester.

Hi Haseeb, I have a power supply 16V 4.5A which is having an interesting fault. It has an output of 16V stable without load. When load is applied the voltage drops instead of being regulated. If I apply a 1A load the voltage drops to 14V instead of maintaining the 16V. If I apply a higher load (for instance 2A,) the voltage drops dramatically to 8V. I suspect the optocoupler. The power supply has two optocouplers, one of them has 15V in the transistor side and 0V on the diode side both with and without load. The other opto has 12V on the transistor side without load and 1V on the diode side. With load the voltage on the transistor side drops to 4V and the diode side is 0.5V.
